Critical Mass

Branding and Video
Podcast Production

2026

Critical Mass is a podcast exploring nuclear energy, geopolitics, and global markets through expert dialogue with leading voices across energy, finance, and policy.

The project combined brand identity, set design, filming, editing, and podcast production across YouTube, Spotify, and digital platforms.

A symbolic “+” mark and restrained red, black, and grey palette create a visual language that feels precise, authoritative, and contemporary.

Layered compositions and fragmented imagery inspired by atom splitting reinforce themes of analysis, energy, and transformation.

Together, the identity, production, and visual direction create a cohesive experience across every episode.

About the project

Critical Mass is a podcast exploring nuclear energy, geopolitics, and global markets through expert dialogue.

The project involved creating the full visual identity alongside the creative direction, set design, filming, editing, and production of the podcast across YouTube, Spotify, and digital platforms.

Critical Mass is a podcast bringing together leading voices across energy, finance, and policy to discuss the forces shaping the future of nuclear power and global infrastructure. The project involved creating the full visual identity alongside the creative direction, set design, filming, editing, and production of the podcast across YouTube, Spotify, and digital platforms.

The challenge was to build a media brand capable of making complex geopolitical and scientific discussions feel clear, engaging, and culturally relevant—positioning the platform closer to contemporary broadcast media than traditional industry communication.

At the centre of the identity is a symbolic “+” mark representing energy, accumulation, and momentum. The visual system combines bold typography, layered compositions, and fragmented image treatments inspired by atom splitting and analytical processes, creating a graphic language that feels precise, dynamic, and investigative.

A restrained palette of red, black, grey, and white reinforces the project’s authoritative tone while introducing a strong visual presence across digital and broadcast environments.

From visual identity to podcast production, every element was designed to work together as a cohesive media system—transforming complex subject matter into a distinctive and recognisable platform for critical discussion.
