Etherlink Upgrades
Motion Design
2025
Motion design announcing major protocol upgrades across the Etherlink network.
Abstract geometric forms assemble and transform to reveal each protocol upgrade.
Through motion and minimal typography, the animations communicate the continuous evolution of the Etherlink network.
About the project
Etherlink is a high-performance Layer 2 network built on Tezos, designed to support scalable smart contract applications while maintaining the security of the underlying blockchain. As the network evolves, protocol upgrades introduce improvements that enhance performance, functionality, and developer capabilities.
The project involved creating a series of animated launch assets to communicate these upgrades to the community. Each animation needed to translate complex technical improvements into a clear visual narrative suitable for social platforms and digital announcements.
The challenge was to develop a motion language capable of announcing multiple upgrades while maintaining a consistent visual identity for Etherlink.
The animations introduce a graphic system built around geometric structures, motion, and layered compositions. Abstract forms assemble and transform to reveal the names of each upgrade, creating a visual metaphor for the continuous evolution of the network.
Subtle gradients and glowing highlights reinforce Etherlink’s technological aesthetic, while smooth transitions and rhythmic motion convey progress and transformation.
Through minimal typography, geometric composition, and animated sequencing, the series establishes a cohesive visual language for Etherlink upgrades—communicating innovation while maintaining clarity across digital channels.
