A visual identity for Art on Tezos, a global program celebrating the artists and communities shaping the future of digital art.

The challenge was to create a flexible identity capable of supporting a global digital art program across exhibitions, installations, and digital platforms.

The project developed a full brand identity spanning typography, iconography, motion, and exhibition design.

The identity uses a simple digital metaphor, the computer folder, to represent a shared space where artists, collectors, and curators come together.

A restrained black-and-white palette allows the artworks to take visual priority.

Computer-inspired cursor icons reinforce the identity’s digital language.

Over three days, exhibitions, performances, and screenings brought together artists, curators, and collectors from around the world.

Exhibition photography captured the full program, from gallery installations to talks and live performances.

Professional installation photography was captured and edited to document the exhibition environments.

About the project

Art on Tezos is a global initiative connecting artists, collectors, and builders shaping the future of digital art. Through a series of exhibitions, performances, screenings, and community events, the program brings together creative voices exploring the evolving relationship between art and blockchain technology.

The project featured a three-day program of exhibitions and cultural programming, presenting more than 200 artists across 20 exhibitors and five locations. Guided tours led by curators and collectors, alongside performances and screenings, created a dynamic platform for conversation and discovery within the digital art ecosystem.

The challenge was to develop a brand identity and visual system capable of supporting a global cultural program while remaining flexible across exhibitions, installations, digital platforms, and event communications. The design needed to reflect the experimental nature of digital art while allowing the artworks themselves to remain at the center of the experience.

At the core of the identity is a logo inspired by a familiar digital object: the computer folder. The symbol represents a shared space where artists, collectors, curators, and platforms come together, reflecting the collaborative ecosystem that Art on Tezos was created to celebrate. With a subtle sense of humour, the mark references the tools of digital culture while grounding the brand firmly in the language of contemporary art.

The visual system is intentionally restrained. A monochrome palette of black and white provides a confident foundation that allows the artworks themselves to take visual priority across exhibitions and communications.

Typography uses Haas Recast Dense, a revival of a mid-century grotesque typeface whose geometric forms and strong legibility provide clarity across both digital and physical applications. The type system creates a consistent voice across exhibition signage, printed materials, digital platforms, and event communications.

A set of computer-inspired cursor icons extends the digital language of the identity, referencing the tools used to navigate digital environments while reinforcing the technological foundation of the platform.

The identity was designed to scale across a wide range of formats, from exhibition graphics and installations to motion design and digital content. Photography documentation captures the physical installations and the experience of the exhibitions, while animated elements bring the identity to life across screens and digital communications.

Together, these elements create a flexible brand system that supports a growing international program while celebrating the artists and communities shaping the future of digital art on Tezos.
